- Are truly greener than alternatives;
- Work as well as alternatives (no performance penalty);
- Are cost-competitive (max 10% to 15% more expensive)
- Are readily available through mass-market stores or Internet/mail order sales (no convenience penalty).
Target audience: Lazy, cheap environmentalists – people who say they would buy more green products if they were cheaper or they had more faith in the products’ “green” credentials. These are middle and upper-middle class consumers who are concerned about global warming and other environmental issues and willing to pay slightly more to reduce their carbon footprint, energy usage etc.
